Amsterdam is known for its impressive Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum and Anne Frank House, which are a must-see when you visit the city. There are many more things to see though: we have more than 50 museums in this city!
Here is the complete list: List of museums in Amsterdam
The museums that I strongly recommend are:
Rijksmuseum
Van Gogh Museum
Anne Frank House
The Moco Museum (Modern Contemporary Museum) is one of the newest museums in Amsterdam. It opened its doors in April 2016 and is located in a beautiful villa that was built in 1903. Contrary to the other museums on the Museumplein, this museum is not very big, so it will take you maximum one hour to see the whole museum. The museum is open every day, and on Friday even until 9pm. Address: Honthorststraat 20.

Foam
Verzetsmuseum
Amsterdam Museum
This is Amsterdam’s first photography museum and housed in two monumental 17th century canal houses. The exhibitions are mainly work of national and international leading photographers and the programme changes about four times a year. Address: Keizersgracht 401.

Hermitage
Joods Historisch Museum
