This restaurant opened its doors in 2016. It is located in a monumental building and has a modern classic interior. You can choose between a three, four 0r five course menu, and every course you can choose between fish, meat or vegetarian. They have a great wine list as well. If you want to finish your dinner smoking a cigar, accompanied by a glas of whiskey you are lucky: they even have a special cigar lounge. This place is a real asset to the neighbourhood! Address: Ringdijk 1.
An inmensly popular restaurant, located in a quite street in Amsterdam-Oost, next to the river Amstel. The affordable menu changes frequently and is inspired by the French kitchen (oysters, côte de boeuf, roasted chicken etc). You can taste that every elegant course is prepared with love and passion. The wines will not let you down either. The restaurant is so popular that they can afford it to close during the weekends. Address: Marcusstraat 52b.
More than thirty years ago, Café Loetje (which is located in Oud-Zuid) was just a bar in the neighborhood where locals went to have a small bite and to play a game of billiards. Then they introduced the steak…it was an instant success! Loetje is now known for serving the best steak in town. The desserts are delicious as well! One tip: order the ‘Biefstuk Bali‘, I guarantee you will not regret it. There are six Loetje restaurants in Amsterdam and this one is located centrally in Amsterdam East. In summer you can sit outside on the terrace. Address: Ruyschstraat 15.
